Jedd W. Heap, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

Jedd began his career at the University of Florida where he graduated in 1998 from the College of Architecture with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design. Heap then continued his education at the University of South Florida where he earned a Masters degree in Architecture from the College of Architecture & Community Design.

He has worked in the Sarasota/Manatee area, gaining over a decade of experience in a variety of project types, such as residential, educational, commercial, institutional, industrial and master planning. When designing new projects, Jedd utilizes his talents and experience to exceed the client’s expectations, while meeting the projects budgets. Heap’s passions lie in using his various skills to engage community issues such as sustainability, affordable housing, and urban design.

Jedd has led multiple projects to LEED certification and is currently working on several LEED seeking projects.

Heap is a member of the United States Green Building Council, The Florida AIA Gulf Coast Chapter where he has as an executive board member; he also served as the AIA Florida State Associate Director for 2008-2010 on the state executive committee.

Currently he serves on the Manatee County 14th Street CRA advisory board, Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) board, and the Sarasota Architectural Foundation (SAF) board.

Heap was awarded the Florida AIA 2009 Associate Member Individual Honor Award.
