The 77 Bed Nursing Facility is an addition to an existing nursing facility for The Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation. FINR specializes in treating and rehabilitating clients with neurologic impairments. The addition replicates the floor plan and exterior features of the existing building, allowing it to look like one cohesive structure. Features include 30 semi-private rooms and 17 private rooms, with accessible bathrooms, large communal activity rooms, and a nursing station in each of the three ‘pods.' The facility has large covered porches to allow clients and their families outdoor gathering space. Functions provided to the clients and staff include an in-house salon, snack vending, laundry, medicine dispersement, activity space and staff office space.
