| Located in the Spruce Creek subdivision near a private airport, on a gently sloping tree covered lot, this single family residence was designed to take advantage of the view overlooking abundant oak trees and a stream below. This is a two story house with a basement workshop below on the downslope side of the house and a detached garage with a second story studio office. The focus of the design was to minimize square footage without sacrificing aesthetics or function. Although the client is not seeking LEED certification, the project includes many "green" sustainable features throughout, including use of natural daylight, reduced solar heat gain, energy efficient cooling and low VOC materials and finishes.
