Rothenbach Park Pavilion is the key stone for Sarasota County's sustainable park. While not seeking certification the green designed 3,000 S.F. pavilion features soy based spray insulation, low flow fixtures, waterless urinals, and efficient mechanical systems. Other features include glu-lam beams, tongue and groove wood decking, cultured stone water table, a cooking grill with warming oven, and a wood burning fireplace.
The building is designed with two exterior gathering areas in order to serve different sized groups. A small serving kitchen provides the ability to host events at the pavilion.
Rothenbach Park has received the 2010 Environmental Sustainability for Engineering Excellence award from the American Academy of Enviromental Engineers.
